Good Friday 2024

Jesus - The only person who has walked this earth to know what you are going through - your brokenness, your hurt, your pain, your loss, your shame, all of You!

He gave his life out of love for you - to take you out of shame and replace it with everlasting joy! In Isaiah 61:7 it says "In place of your shame, you will have double portion; in place of disgrace, you will rejoice in their inheritance. And you will inherit double portion in your land and EVERLASTING JOY will be yours."

And the reason we call this day 'Good'......... is because Sunday is coming!!

Scripture Readings: Luke 23:31-49; John 19:23-30; and Matthew 27:45-49

It's almost too good to be true when we hear of miracles happening around us and yet, even those who saw Jesus with their own eyes were surprised when his disciples were also performing miracles after the resurrection.

But it wasn't their own doing!

The same Holy Spirit that empowered the disciples 2,000 years ago, is the same Holy Spirit empowering us today!

Hear more with Rev Peter as he explores the readings for this week with us.

Why are you so surprised?
